1) Are remanufactured cartridges inferior to new ones ?
No, there should be no difference in the print quality or page yield of a remanufactured cartridge. Remanufacturers use only graphics quality toner and replacement parts that meet or exceed the orignal standard. Most remanufacturers guarantee their products to perform as well as or better than new cartridges.
2) Can I really save money by using remanufactured cartridges ?
Yes, as much as 40 to 50 percent, depending on the quantity of cartridges your company uses, your savings can amount to thousands of dollars each year.
3) Am I really helping the environment by purchasing remanufactured cartridges?
Definitely. Each discarded empty laser printer cartridge adds approximately three pounds of unnecessary waste to our landfills. Waste that will take as long as 10 centuries to decompose. It is estimated that 1.2 million laser printer cartridges are consumed each year in Hong Kong. Remanufacturing these 1.2 million cartridges will save an estimated 40,000 cubic feet of landfill space. The remanufactured toner cartridge that we made will continue to contribute a substantial positive impact upon the environment and the economy wherever it exists.
4) Why don't more businesses recycle ?
In a word - Education. (A) People in general are unaware of the importance of environmental protection and people are still dumping a lot of useful waste into our precious landfills. The industry is working very hard to educate the consumers about the value of remanufactured cartridges, and hoping that more corporations can start using remanufactured cartridges. (B) Remanufacturers replace worn parts and upgrade others in the cartridge with parts that are often superior to quality and performance to those in new cartridge. A significant number of remanufacturers are now STMC qualified, thus ensuring a product that meets the rigorous testing credentials applied by the International Organization for Standardization.
5) Will a Remanufactured Toner Cartridge damage my printer ?
Answer : Of course not. A remanufactured cartridge is basically the same as an original cartridge except some of the remanufactured components are replaced with new ones in order to allow for another printing cycle. The exterior casing can be reused as many times as possible if it's not broken. Therefore, if you can put the original cartridge inside your printer, you can also put a remanufactured toner cartridge without damaging the printer.
